Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in New York

Abandoned Mobile Home

I live where mobile homes aren't allowed within village limits. Pre-existing ones are allowed until they become abandoned or unoccupied for 1 year. A man died owning a pre-exisiting trailer, parked on landlord's property where he paid lot rent. Trailer sat unoccupied for over year. The property owner then rented it out. Is it okay to be reinhabitant passed the occupancy period, or should trailer be removed from the village limits, in violation of the law?

Re: Abandoned Mobile Home

This is one of those situations, where unless someone complains, no one is going to act. This is probably an illegal rental, but it would most likely have to be taken up with whoever enforces your town zoning regulations. It is unlikely a Court would hear a suit brought by you personally unless you can show that the re-rental affected your life personally.
