Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in New York
Abandoned vehicle on my property
My father had passed away in 2005. I have been taken care of the property since. Several months ago a neighbor across from my father house parked his car on my father's driveway and removed the vehicle plates. No permission was given to park or store this vehicle. I have asked the owners to remove the car only to be told they will remove it soon, this has been on going for several months and the car just sit's there. What can I do legally to have the car remove.
Thank You

Re: Abandoned vehicle on my property
I would send a certified letter to the owner of the car informing him or her that he is tresspassing by leaving the car on the property, and that if it is not removed in 30 days that it will be towed. After 30 days, if the car is still on the property, have the car towed and commence an action in small claims court for the towing and impounding cost.
