Apartment Lease

my girlfriend and i recently signed a lease for our apartment. she has now moved out and is trying to get off the lease, leaving it fully in my name. my question is how can she do this if i lease is a agreement/ contract?

The short answer is she can't. She can, however, try to mitigate the damages -- find someone acceptable to you and the landlord to move in and take over her percentage of the lease (which would be 50% unless you and she had an alternative agreement).

She can do it if BOTH you and the landlord agree. The three of you wrote/signed the contract and the three of you have the power to change it.

But changes of this nature require all three of you to agree.
