Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in New York
Some background info I am a landlord of a building and I rented out the first floor to a Medical Office.
Today I received a letter from a law firm stating that person A to prosecute a claim for personal injuries and other damages sustained at Medical Office A as a result of my negligence. Then it is asking me to turn this letter over to my insurance company or legal representative.
So my question is why am I, the landlord, the one being prosecuted but not the Medical Office since it happened at the Office?

Because you are there and have insurance. Notify your insurance company, they will handle this nonsense,
