breaking a lease

I have been living in my apt. for a couple of years now my lease is up in two more years but my landlord sold the building.Does a new owner of my apt. building have the right to break my old contract with the old landlord and throw me out or take me to court if i don't leave?

No. The new landlord must honor the lease agreement, just like you must continue to pay rent under the lease agreement to the new landlord.
