Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in New York
i have a brother who lives in my basement rent free, pay no bills and now is attempting to claim control of the basement and attempting to evict tenants and collect. i dont want to kick him out. is there a cease order that i can put on him to keep him from doing what he's attempting to do?

Not that would be effective. You need to put him in the street before he does that to you.
