It depends on several factors. Generally, no additional notice needs to be served after the written lease expires on its own terms. If the landlord is attempting to evict you prior to the end of your written lease, either the "notice provision" in the lease itself governs, or, an additional written notice must be served which provides you with the correct amount of time to vacate as required by law. How much time that is depends on the type of tenancy you have and where the premises is located.
