Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in New York

buying property with tennants and how to evict

I have bought 3 unit property in NYC that has tennants living there now. There was no written lease agreement between the previous owners and the tennants. They have been told that they need to move out by the end of the month, but they are refusing to do this. How can I legally evict the tennants so that I may move into my new property?
