children of owner moving in
My kids are moving in the basement
of our house by the 1st week of
march.My question is what should I
do since my tenant in the basement
refuses to move out. they have been
staying there without paying
anything since september 2007.
please help! thanks in advance.

There are a number of issues that must be clarified. Are they under lease? Is the apt legal? Either way a summary proceeding for eviction needs to be started immediately and unless tenant vacates voluntarily, it will be imopossible to evict them by March 1.
