Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in New York

Evicting a new tenant

Tenant has been in NYC apt. less than 30 days and has already caused damage, trouble, etc. I want to evict her. There is no written lease. Is there a procedure whereby I can evict her without having to go through the standard procedure of 10 days notice, 30 days notice, etc.? I was told that because the tenant has been there less than 30 days, they can be summarily evicted without much trouble. Is this true? If so, how can I go about getting rid of this troublesome tenant?

Re: Evicting a new tenant

If you accepted rent from the tenant there is no minimum time period as suggested in your question. In other words, you would have to evict her by serving a 30 day notice and then following the procedures set forth in the NY RPAPL.
