Possible Eviction

I owe three months rent on my apartment. I am paying the rent now but did not pay the rent for Oct 06 - Jan 07. A note was put on my door yesterday saying that if I did not pay the balance due within 5 days that I would have to vacate the premesis. I have been sending an additional $200.00 a month with the rent that I have been paying and I still received this letter on my door. I do not know what to do. Can someone please advise me of what to do. I am a single parent that lives from paycheck to paycheck with no savings and need some help.

If they have been accepting the money they will not be able to evict you. They can't evict you without starting a legal action against you in housing court. If at all you can muster up the resources you should hire a lawyer to assist you. Depending on your resources you may be eligible for legal assistance from a legal aid lawyer.
