Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in New York
the house we are renting on long island is constantly in need of repairs to the sewage system. we are tired of asking him to fix the problem and even had the plumber talk to him. the basement gets flooded with feces and we have paid for the service twice. we can no longer afford to keep doing this. what recourse do we have

You can commence a landlord - tenant action alleging a breach of the warranty of habitability with a request for an order directing the landlord to fix the sewage system.
