Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in New York
My landlord asked for a increase of rent to $1431 per month for one year and $1482 for a two year..At bottom of lease it says I the undersigned tenant agree to enter into a _ year lease at a monthly rent of ___ ..I checked box and said 1 year at $1400 (the most i could afford) and signed it..The landlord sent back the lease signed ..Does this mean i pay the amount i agreed to of $1400?

Yes, unless there is other language in the lease to indicate the $31 per month difference.
