Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in New York
My landlord evicted me through court with a 72 hour notice after he told the payment i made of 600 four days before was enough to keep me in the apartment. This was on July 31st. He is now saying that he wants 750 today or he will follow through with serving the 72 hour notice. I did not know if this warrent was still vaild as that was 14 days ago. I was think he had to go through the entire eviction process again. Please let me know if i am correct

You should go to court immediately and file an Order to Show Cause to stop the eviction. You should bring the Marshal's notice with you. It has been my experience that oral agreements such as this one can backfire. For example, in the stipulation agreement you had to agree to pay a set amount by a set date. If you pay say $750 and you were scheduled to pay $751 the landlord can still evict you - yes even for a $1. My recommendation is for you to go to court.
