Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in New York

If my landlord is selling our house and our lease is not up for 6 months can we break the lease if we find a place to move before the lease is up?

You may break the lease with the permission of the landlord. Since the landlord is selling the house, I would think that he or she would give you permission.
