Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in New York

where i was living at the ceiling bathroom,fell on me while i was showering.As i rushed to get out the shower i twisted my back.slip and fell hurting myself.I had told my x-landlord to fix the leak on the bathroom ceiling.like 7 time.he keep Inoring me.now i have a lawsuit against him.because i hurted my back the therpy told me that i couldn't work.I have L4-5 and L5-s1 disc bulges now i want to know if ten thousand dollars is worth the pain and suffering, that I'm going thru I can't bend because it hurts me I never had a injury on my back.when I stand for a long period of time or sit to long my back start to hurts. even tho I still go to therpy it makes it feel better for that mean time but the pain comes and go again. I going to therpy 3 times a week.My pain is still there so please can you tell me what can i do i have a legal aid lawyer. he helps but I'm trying to let him know that the offer is little bit.just asking for a opinion. thanks

Bulges are not significant in terms of monetary value. I am not sure about your economic loss claim. If I were you I would take the advice of your lawyer.
