Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in New York
NYC eviction - senior citizen tenants
My parents (80 yrs old +) have lived in their apartment for 20+ yrs (no lease). They have just received a letter from the landlord requesting they vacate (no reason given). What are their rights?

The landlord does have the right to possession of the apartment. However, the Courts will give your parents time to move to make an easy transition.
