Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in New York
i have pay a landlord month rent and security for an apartment the landlord has refuse to give me the key for whatever reason, can he be in breach of the lease and can i sue him for my money back?

If you entered into an agreement with a landlord and paid the landlord under the terms of the agreement, if the landlord failed to provide the apartment you would be entitled to the return of the first month's rent and the security.
