Re: personal injury
We have handled many of these types of cases in the past. Not only do you have a claim against the landlord, but you do have a claim against the person/persons who left the debris there. These people may be the tenant who just left it in the yard, a workman who left the debris while he is doing work etc.
The owner of the house has an obligation to keep the premises free and clear of any hazards.
It can also be assumed that he saw the debris there and chose not to remove it.
It is just not the landlord you are after, it is everyone who contributed to the negligence that caused your child's interest.
If you need the services of an attorney, please feel free to contact me. We handle negligence cases throughout the state.
Re: personal injury
Assuming that the landlord had either actual or constructive notice of the debris, your son (you as the guardian) may commence an action against the landlord based on negligence.

Re: personal injury
You can certainly bring a lawsuit against your landlord. The outcome, however, will be determined by a number of things. What was the "debris"? How long was it there? Did you make complaints/give your landlord notice?
