Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in New York
My problem is: a friend of mine needed a place to stay so ofcourse i let him stay with me.I told him when he first stayed that it was a temp.thing. Well it has been over a year, i have asked him to leave several times and he basically ignores me. I don't know what else to do he just won't leave. What can I do?

Although your "friend" is not a tenant, essentially, you gave him a license to remain in the property. Now you are withdrawing his license and want him to leave. To enforce your rights you would have to start a summary proceeding to have him evicted.
