Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in New York
I have a question is it possible to file a lawsuit against my building management if my apartment recently was broken into and all my jewelry was taken. My apartment building has a broken entrance door which allows any person to enter the building and no cameras. The management has been told about this problem for years and refuses to spend the money to fix anything.

Yes, you can ask for damages and punishment. You should also report it to your homeowners insurance.
