Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in New York

rent increase

I have had a tenant in my mobile home for 3 years without a rent increase and since that time, our taxes have gone up significantly. Can I raise the rent by 20%? If so, how much notice do I have to give the tenant? Your assistance in this matter is greatly appreciated.

This would be a question of local regulation. You would need to check if there are any county or village restrictions on rate increases in your local area. Check with your local housing authority.
