Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in New York

I have been renting a room in my home and now I wnat the person to leave. There is no lease only verbal agreement for 2 yrs. What do I have to do if he refuses to leave ?

You first have to give notice (1 month) to terminate the month to month lease. Should the tenant remain after the termination of the lease, you would have to commence an eviction proceeding.
