Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in New York
Return of Security Deposit
As best as I can determine on line, NYS Statutes state that a landlord has a ''reasonable'' amount of time in which to return a departing tenant's security deposit. What is the definition of ''reasonable'' or what is the accepted practice in Erie County, NY? Thank you for your assistance.
