Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in New York

When can I get rid of ex-tenants stuff?

I'm not the landlord, but actually the ex-roommate of the person who has left the apartment. She has made no verbal or written arrangements to have her stuff removed, and now that I am the legal tenant, how long do I have to wait before I can remove her stuff from my house? Isn't there a 30 day abandonment law in New York State?

30 days sounds ok to me. In any event. it is the landlord who may be responsible as the bailor and not you.

But no judge will hold anyone responsible after 30 days with no notice.
