staute of limitations
long story short. I was evicted in August due to I was out of work and my landlord would not take a check from Dss or my church. due to it was an illegal apt. i rented thru a Real estate broker can i sue her?i have been homeless since then for she has bad mouthed me all ove rnad no agent will help me. i now have a good job and can afford a place can i sue her for my fee since it was illegal.i rented in 2007 thanks

I am going to take a stab at answering your question. If I were you I would take your broker to small claims court and allege fraud. In NY fraud has a 6 year statute of limitations
