Isn't a tenant who has reached the end of a lease term entitled to receive their security deposit back, including all interest compiled?

Generally, there is a duty by the landlord to return security at the end of the lease so long as there is no damage. However, unless stated otherwise in the lease, there is no duty to return interest received from the security.
