Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in New York
My tenants signed a lease till august 31st but because m house is up for sale they want to move sooner. do they have to give me any notice and do they get their security back? (they gave me 2 months)

Unless your lease specifically state otherwise, the fact that your house is for sale should not automatically effect the terms of tenant's notice under said lease. Therefore, the tenant would need to give you the proper amount of notice (as specified in the lease) before they could leave without breaching the lease agreement. I recommend you have an attorney review the lease agreement so you can be more thoroughly advised.
