Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in New York
I am the trustee named on a property. I gave someone permission to stay at that property with the verbal agreement that he maintained the property, and paid the taxes on the property. He is no longer upholding the agreement. He told me over 6 months ago he was moving out. In order to maintain the property I have given permission to another friend to stay on the property even though the first person is still there. Is this within my leagal rights?

All of this should have been arranged per written agreement. Oral statements only create problems.
