Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in New York

What Will happen???

My mother suckered my fiance to buy the house we were all living in, there was not contract or lease saying that she is the owner or she is a tenant living there. My fiance and i moved out of the house and we know my mother can not pay for the house alone. My fiance wants to sell the house but my mother is trying her hardest to keep the house even though she has no say because the house legally is my fiance's house. She did all the paper work to get this house and she forced him into sighning it and took some short cuts to get the house in my fiance's name, So my mother told the bank ( to get the loan) that he worked at this place and he made this certain money a week (he did not sighn about the money part) She is saying if you sell the house i will tell the bank that you lied about you working and you can go to court and get in trouble because it is a federal issue. I would like to know if that is true, and if so is there anything I could do or know to resolve this problem. Thank you

I am sorry that this has not worked out for you.

There will be no legal consequences for his 'fudging' on his income in the mortgage application. This is not a criminal matter.

Re: What Will happen???

If upon selling your home all oustanding mortgages are settled I would not see why there would be any issue at all with your Fiance getting in any 'trouble' - people make threats all the time with no idea of what the law, or legal ramifications are of any given situation.

if I can be of any further assistance feel free to contact me
