Legal Question in Legal Ethics in New York

Need To Know What To Do

The other day, i parked my car in the shopping mall. when i came back to my car, this man was driving around. my car had a few dents in it, so he offered to give me a free estimate. he had told me that he worked at a body shop, and as one of the biggest mistakes i did, was i believed him. i let him give me an estimate. he tried to fix my car, but by the time he had finished, it was dark, and it looked fine to me, the next day, i noticed that it wasnt fine, and the job was basically a total hoax, but yet he took my $350. is there any legal action i can take upon him and try to get my money back?

If you can find him, then you can take him to Small Claims Court.
