Legal Question in Legal Ethics in New York
I have a question regarding lost items!
For example: i have just found a lost phone, and i have advertised this in the local paper as "lost".
How long after can a lost item be claimed as your own. The person is not claiming their item, so is it rightfully mine?

No. Turn it into the police station, and three years from now you can recover the property.
