Legal Question in Legal Ethics in New York
Volunteer Firehouse
I am currently on suspension from my Firehouse and I have requested from the Chief if I may attend the Juniors Pasta Dinner during this time. It is a public event in a public building. I would be paying like everyone else. My Chief has denied my request. I need to know if this is something I have a right to go to as a civilian.

Re: Volunteer Firehouse
If it is a public event I would think you have the right to attend the event. However, I would check with your Union representative before attending the event.
Mike.
