Legal Question in Legal Malpractice in New York
Bad Checks
Is it legal to hold for stores checks?
Can they turn them into the bank after a few years and still expect the money when the account is closed?
Can they sue if the checks bounced 3 years ago and they still haven't sent them to the bank?
Can I go to jail for these checks that bounced a few years ago and the store still has in thier possesion?
