Legal Question in Legal Malpractice in New York
i received a subpoena for an evaluation I performed in 2001 in a no fault accident case and they are asking me to come to the court this coming Friday but I did not have it with me now. I threw a lot of files from a flood I had in the basement and I think it was in there. What should I do?

You are not obligated to keep records past seven years. You respond by saying you do not maintain records for that period of time.
