Legal Question in Legal Malpractice in New York
How many years do I have to file a lawsuit against a lawyer for my adversary based upon New York Judiciary Law Section 487? Deception of court and me occurred 8 years ago but evidence that may prove the deception emerged just 6 months ago in unrelated court proceedings. The discovery rule tolls the statute of limitation in this case?

Your recent discovery may or may not toll the statute of limitations. It may depend on whether reasonable person would have or should have known of the facts within the statutory period.
