Legal Question in Medical Malpractice in New York
I feel like i was robbed yesterday at a dermatologists office. his name is dr,. zizmor and he gave me a chemical peel. he said it was tca peel, when i got home i researched the peel and it says a person of my skin color (african american) shouldnt get a tca peel because it can cause damage to the skin even more. not only did dr, zizmor give me the wrong peel, he gave me a strong tca peel and now today i wake up with brown patches all over my face including no change in the spots i told him him to remove in the first place. my question is can i sue him?

You can sue anyone for anything. The question is was this peel a departure from accepted medical practices under your circumstances and the nature and extent of your injuries and damages.
The nature and extent of your injuries and the opinion of an independent dermatologist verifiying departure from customary and accepted medical practices determines whether your case is viable to proceed to court in the first instance and feasibility of an attorney taking your case in the second.
Wait to see if there is any permanent damage. If so, consider pursuing the matter further by consulting with a lawyer. Best, MEZ
