filing malpractice suit

What is involved in filing a malpractice suit?I had back surgery and have lost feeling in my legs and am in more pain now then before the surgery.

A bad result by itself is not a basis for a malpractice action. There are accepted risks associated with given procedures, and a bad outcome alone does not provide a right to recover.
