Legal Question in Medical Malpractice in New York

lost of voice after extubation

my husband was extubated 6 days ago but until now he can only whisper. He has no voice and it's difficult for him to drink any liquid. He was seen by ENT doc to evaluate and we are told, his vocal cord is damaged by the instrumentation. His voice is his source of income. Do you think we have a reason to complain?

You may have a case but there are other facts that I would need to know:

1. What was your husband's pre extubation diagnosis?

2. What is your husband's occupation and was he working prior to the procedure?

3. Was he told orally and in writing about damage to his vocal cords?

4. Is his damage permanent?
