Legal Question in Medical Malpractice in New York

If a person is sued for mal practice and loses, no matter what type of malpractice, which assets are protected and which are not. Personal assets such as home, 401 K, and assets? in the state of NY and in the state of NJ. and where can I find more information about this question, is there a telephone number?

Malpractice concerns negligence on the part of a professional. Medical, dental and legal malpractice are examples. Usually, the professional carries malpractice insurance. If not, and the case is prosecuted successfully against him or her, the professional's personal assets are possibly subject to the execution of a judgment. Good luck. Best, ME Zuller
