I am a plaintiff in a medical malpractice case. What is stipulation of discontinuance with prejudice as to defendants means?

Sounds like you settled your case. In order for your attorney to get the money, he must provide a release signed by you and a stipulation of discontinuance (of your case) signed by him. "WIth prejudice" means you can never try and come back to court and sue the same party for the same injuries. Ask your attorney to explain further, if anything is not clear to you. Best, M. E. Zuller
