Legal Question in Medical Malpractice in New York

Mother's Aneurism

My mother underwent laser surgery on both her eyes a few weeks apart...while performing the surgery on her left eye(2nd op) the doctor had to stop because of pain and bleeding.

Approx a month after my mother suffered from a ruptured aneurism behind her left eye. I am wondering if there is a possiblity that the surgery could have caused this. My mother was in good shape before the surgeries and now is basically dependent on someone for all her needs.

Re: Mother's Aneurism

I have handled multiple ophthalmological malpractice cases and I have never heard of this complication from laser surgery. Did any doctor tell you after your mom had the aneurysm that this complication could occur?
