Legal Question in Military Law in New York

chaptering

how long does it take to leave once your commander signs ur discharge papers for chapter 5-13. also how long does it take for them to sign it as well, and do they even have to sign it? I got recommanded for a chapter 5-13 and i am still waiting for an answer.
