Legal Question in Military Law in New York
My girlfriend's ex-boyfriend is a Marine and has continuously threatened physical violence against myself and a room mate of mine for damage to a piece of his property that neither of us inflicted. He has threatened to come to our home with several of his Marine friends and beat us up. Can we take legal action against the threats? And if they do come here and attack us are there special circumstances to be considered with their military standing?

There is no special protection for soldiers committing crimes. You can file a complaint with the local police or you can file a complaint with the solder's commanding officer. You are likely to get immediate results if you complain to the military.
