Re-Enlistment

I Re-Enlisted this past July, here in the middle east. Upon returning home I found out my grandmother had a stroke while on my way home. Since then my father has been having a hard time running the family business, and helping to pay for her medical care.

The business has been suffering and I know if I was home it would greatly help turn it around and allow the family to keep it. Is this grounds for a hardship discharge?

It may be grounds for such a discharge and commanders have a great deal of discretion in what gets granted and what does not.

I would get statements from your father and I would also get statements from others (non family) who can attest to the issues, and take them to your commander and request the discharge.
