Legal Question in Military Law in New York
widow and dependent benifits
My family was not notified of my fathers death in 1969. It was uncovered only after I moved to Ohio and found an Air Force card and contacted the VA. I received his VA file which contained the change of address forms and copies of my mothers missing person reports. The VA sent notification to the wrong address in the wrong state to the wrong person. they have denied my family the benefits we are entitled to. What recourse do we have.
