Legal Question in Personal Injury in New York

About 5 months ago wile i was currently employed I had got bitten by my employers personal dog at work wile he wasn't present. The injuries were minor and I received a tetanus shot and basic pain medication at the ER. He did cover my medical expense. Now that I am unemployed 5 months later I would like to know if theres anything I can do. Thanks in advance.

You may still sue the dog owner.
