Legal Question in Personal Injury in New York
My 25 years old had a car accident that was clearly his fault and now is being sued. He still lives at home, should i be concerned that i will be liable for what his insurance company or finances does not take care of in paying for the suit?

You don't mention who owns the car. Generally, both owner and driver are named in the suit, yet you don't say whether you are also being sued. You don't state your coverage limits, nor the severity of the plaintiff's injuries. If you have coverage adequate to compensate for the injuries sustained, there is little need to worry. If your coverage is low and the injuries severe, you might consider retaining counsel to put pressure on your insurance company to try and work a settlement within the policy limits. Best, M. E. The mere fact he lives with you would not make you liable.
