You have the right to terminate your lawyer for cause. Hire another one. You will only have to pay the new one.

A client is always free to change lawyers. If your lawyer is not returning your calls, that is likely grounds to discharge for cause meaning he would not get a percentage of the legal fee from the new attorney. Changing lawyers does not require you to pay both lawyers. I am a former federal and State prosecutor and now handle personal injury cases so feel free to check out my web site and contact me.
