Accident involving small truck

A small truck ran into me and when he got out of the vehicle he stated ''where did I come from?''

I led this to believe that his blind spot had something to do with this. Can I go after the manufacturer of the vehicle for not providing adequate safety features to avoid this accident from happening?

You could but it turns a simple negligence suit into a very expensive products liability claim. It would only be financially worhtwhile if you sustained major injuries.
